消防庁「何でも屋じゃありません」解決するアイデアをみんなで
こんな話題を目にしました。緊急性がない救急車利用の話題です。
とはいえ緊急性について、自己判断は難しいですね。
これに対して良いアイデアをお持ちの方も多いと思います。
アイデアを思いついたらネットに書いてみるのもいいですね。

■（１）長崎県のアイデア
長崎県は緊急性がない救急車利用で7700円を徴収するそうですね。
このアイデアはいいですね。
私も救急車を利用したことはあります。
あそこまでしてくれて、7700円なら本当に感謝です。
（私の場合は骨折で入院なので、緊急性はありましたが）
逆に緊急性がなかったとわかったらむしろいいじゃないですか。
身体が大丈夫ならいくら出しても惜しくないものです。
■（２）長崎県のアイデアを補うアイデア
長崎県のアイデアを補うこんなアイデアはどうでしょうか？
救急車を呼ぶときには、まず7700円支払います。
→緊急性があると判断された場合には、7700円は医療費に充当する！
これなら緊急性があってもなくても、問題が生じにくいと思います。
救急車を呼ぶ際に迷っても、ためらいにくくなります。
■（３）実は特許事務所の料金も・・・
実は（２）のアイデアは、私どもの特許事務所由来のアイデアです。
弊所では、特許を出す際にこんな流れになります。
まず特許が取れるか判断するために「特許調査」を行います。
特許を出す費用の一部を、特許調査の費用として頂きます。
特許を出せる場合は、特許調査費用を特許出願費用に充当します。
最後はおまけでしたが、いかがでしたでしょうか？
救急車は実際に使ったことある人ならそのありがたみは格別です。
救急車がより適切に使われるアイデアが世の中に広まるといいですね。

I’d like to share some ideas in this article as well.
I’ll introduce an idea that already exists, followed by an idea of my own as a bonus.
My idea was inspired by the fee structure at our patent firm.

■ (1) An idea from Nagasaki Prefecture
I hear that Nagasaki Prefecture charges a fee of 7,700 yen for ambulance use in non-emergency cases.
That’s a great idea.
I’ve used an ambulance myself.
Considering the level of service provided, 7,700 yen feels like a bargain—I’d be truly grateful to pay it.
(In my case, I had a fracture requiring hospitalization, so it was a genuine emergency.)
Conversely, finding out it *wasn't* an emergency is actually a good thing, isn't it?
If you’re physically okay, the cost doesn't matter much.
■ (2) An idea to supplement the Nagasaki approach
How about this idea to build upon the Nagasaki approach?
When calling an ambulance, you pay 7,700 yen upfront.
→ If the situation is determined to be an emergency, that 7,700 yen is applied toward your medical expenses!
This way, there are fewer issues regardless of whether it turns out to be an emergency or not.
It removes the hesitation people might feel when deciding whether to call an ambulance.
■ (3) Actually, patent firm fees work this way too...
In fact, the idea in section (2) was inspired by the practices at our patent firm.
At our firm, the process for filing a patent application goes like this:
First, we conduct a "patent search" to determine if a patent can be obtained. We charge a portion of the patent filing cost upfront to cover the patent search.
If it turns out that a patent application can be filed, the search fee is applied toward the cost of the application itself.
That last part was just a little extra—what did you think?
Anyone who has actually used an ambulance knows just how invaluable they are.
It would be wonderful to see ideas that promote the more appropriate use of ambulances spread throughout society.
