大げさな天気予報を悪者にするより学べることを３つ挙げてみた
私も学生時代を含め、長年、千葉に住んでいました。
被害が大きくならないことを祈ります。
ネットにこんな意見がありました。
「大げさな天気予報がついに被害をもたらした！」
いわゆる「オオカミ少年」ですね。
私も概ね同感なのでここでご紹介です。
とはいえ、お天気ニュースは商売なんだからと開き直るでしょう。
ニュースを選んでいるニュースサイトも同様です。
ここで「悪者探し」をしても仕方ありません。
今回のことから学べることを考えた方が前向きです。
＜今回の件で学べること＞
①大げさは相手のためにならない！
②天気予報は自ら調べよう！
③報じられない良い天気で幸せを感じよう！
■①大げさは相手のためにならない！
天気は少しくらい大げさに予報したほうがいいんだ！
世の中にはそんな声もあります。
たしかに、大げさにした方が注意する人もいるでしょう。
しかし逆に、大げさなのはオオカミ少年だと考える人もいます。
そして致命的な事故につながることもあります。
やはり多数に向けての情報は、ウソ・大げさ・紛らわしいは厳禁です。
私たちが多数に向けて情報を発信するときの反面教師にしましょう。
そして大げさな情報は見ないようにしましょう（天気予報に限らず）。
■②天気予報は自ら調べよう！
とはいえ、お天気ニュースの大げさはなくならないでしょう。
（今日のニュースも千葉が暑くなるとのこと。気象庁の予報とは違う）
これに対して、お天気ニュースを見るなと言っても仕方ありません。
私たちができることは、天気予報を自ら調べることです。
気象庁の予報がいいでしょう。商用ではないからです。
気象庁をブックマークしておけば、すぐに開けます。
そして、対策はしっかりと！
■③報じられない良い天気で幸せを感じよう！
夕方や夜に、毎日のようにざっと雨が降って、涼しい風です。
雨や台風がこの涼しさに影響しているのは間違いないでしょう。
ただ、こうしたことは、お天気ニュースは絶対に報じません。
良い天気を自分で感じ取って、幸せを感じましょう。
こちら東京は7月10日過ぎに暑くなって、一か月以上が過ぎました。
夏も半分終わり、一か月後のお彼岸頃には涼しくなるでしょう。
今後の天気はどうなるか？気象庁で調べましょう（笑）

There are voices in the world that say this.
Admittedly, exaggeration might prompt some people to be more cautious.
However, others view such exaggeration as the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" effect.
And it can sometimes lead to fatal accidents.
Ultimately, when broadcasting information to the masses, lies, exaggeration, and misleading details are strictly off-limits.
Let this serve as a cautionary example for when we disseminate information to a large audience.
And let's try to avoid consuming exaggerated information (not just regarding weather forecasts).
■② Check the weather forecast yourself!
That said, the tendency for weather news to exaggerate likely won't disappear.
(Today's news, for instance, claims it will get hot in Chiba—which differs from the Japan Meteorological Agency's forecast.)
It’s pointless to simply tell people not to watch weather news.
What we *can* do is check the weather forecast ourselves.
The Japan Meteorological Agency's forecast is a good choice, as it is not commercial.
If you bookmark the agency's site, you can access it instantly.
And make sure to take proper precautions!
■③ Find happiness in the good weather that goes unreported!
We’ve had so many truly cool days in Eastern Japan this summer (a "cool summer"?). Almost every evening or night, we get a quick downpour followed by a cool breeze.
There is no doubt that the rain and typhoons are contributing to this cooler weather.
However, weather reports never mention this aspect.
What we can do is focus on the pleasant weather that goes unreported.
Let’s sense the good weather for ourselves and find happiness in it.
Here in Tokyo, the heat set in just after July 10th, and more than a month has already passed.
Summer is halfway over; it should start cooling down around the *Ohigan* period a month from now.
Would you prefer the summer to be a bit hotter? There is a special joy in welcoming autumn after making it through the summer heat.
As for what the weather holds next? Let’s check the Japan Meteorological Agency’s forecast (haha).
