「一人旅は寂しそう」と言われ続ける論理的な理由とは？
旅行に行かれる方も多いでしょう。

そう安心できます。そんな情報があることは嬉しいですね。
②：一人旅を寂しいと思わない人は、他人の目を気にしません。
一人旅は寂しそうと言われても、そう思う人もいるんだ程度です。
こんな状況ですので「一人旅は寂しい」情報はなくならないのです。
逆に「みんなとの旅行は煩わしい」という情報は世の中にありません。
上記と逆の論理で、だれの得にもならない情報だからです。
仮に一人旅が好きな人がそう思っても、口にしないほうが無難です。
■（２）「一人旅は寂しそう」と思わなくなる方法
「一人旅は寂しそう」という人がどのくらいいるか分かりません。
一人旅が寂しくならない考え方をお伝えします。
旅行には大きく分けると、次の３つがあります。
①一人旅
②自分で計画して複数人で旅行する
③他人が計画した旅行に参加する
一人旅が寂しいと思う人は、受動的なタイプで③が好きですね。
それでも②も楽しいかも知れません。
まずは②を試してみるのもいいものです。
旅行の計画は楽しいものです（旅行中より楽しいと言われます。）。
そうするうちに、①を計画してみたくなるでしょう。
ぜひ①にトライしてみてください！
そして他人の目を気にしないことです。
それは他人の考え方を尊重するということでもあります。

There are two types of people: ① those who think solo travel is lonely, and ② those who don't.
The idea that solo travel looks lonely isn't actually negative for either group.
①: People who find solo travel lonely feel reassured knowing there are others out there who feel the same way. They are happy such information exists.
②: People who don't find solo travel lonely don't worry about what others think. Even if told solo travel looks lonely, they simply think, "Well, I guess some people feel that way."
Given this dynamic, the narrative that "solo travel is lonely" persists.
Conversely, you rarely hear people say, "Traveling with a group is a hassle."
This is because, following the reverse logic, such a statement benefits no one.
Even if someone who loves solo travel feels that way, it’s safer not to say it out loud.
■ (2) How to stop thinking "solo travel looks lonely"
I don't know exactly how many people think solo travel looks lonely.
However, I’d like to share a mindset that prevents solo travel from feeling lonely.
Broadly speaking, travel falls into three categories:
① Solo travel
② Traveling with a group based on your own plan
③ Joining a trip planned by someone else
People who find solo travel lonely tend to be passive types who prefer option ③.
However, option ② might also be fun.
It’s worth giving option ② a try.
Planning a trip is enjoyable (some say it's even more fun than the trip itself). Before long, you’ll likely find yourself wanting to try out idea ①.
I highly recommend giving it a go!
And the key is not to worry about what others think.
That also means respecting other people's perspectives.

My current favorite way to enjoy casual solo trips is taking "walking tours along the Toei Bus routes" (haha).
I also like to mix in the seasonal "One-Day Pass" for the Toei Subway to make the most of the experience.
