小説を書く能力と特許を取る能力の意外な関係とは？
私も興味があります。推理小説を書いてみたい！
では、小説を書くためにはどんな能力が必要でしょうか？
特許を取るための能力に似ている点があるので、対比させてみます。

■（１）小説を書くのに必要な能力とは？
小説を書くために必要な能力！こう聞いて真っ先に思い浮かべるのは…
「文章力」かも知れませんね。
ただ、これと同じくらい、いやこれ以上に必要な能力があります。
それは「物語の筋（プロット）を作る能力」です。
たとえ文章力があっても、そもそも何を書くのか？
それが決まらなければ、小説は書けませんね。
小説を書いてみたいけど、まったく書けない！
私もそうですが、そんな方は、まず何を書きたいか考えるのも手です。
実はこの話し、特許を取るのに必要な能力と似ています。
特許を取るのに必要な能力は、上記の小説の話しと似ています。
①発明をする力と、②発明の内容を文章にする力です。
特許を取りたいという方は、①にパワーを注いでください！
そしてそれを文章にするのは、私ども弁理士にお任せください。
ここで重要なのは②の文章力は小説のそれとは違うということです。
特許の文章は独特です。

この中でAIで補える能力はどれでしょう？
AIを使って小説を書いたなんて作家さんがいましたね。
小説の文章力は、一定程度は補えるのかも知れませんね。
ただ、それ以外はAIでは難しいです。
プロット力と発明力は、当然、AIには無理ですね。
AIはクリエイティブな作業には向いていません。
特許の文章力も、残念ながらAIには無理です。
この点は当ブログの他の記事でもお伝えしています。
（理由の一つは、発明の内容をAIに入力すると新規性を失うおそれ）

Even if you have writing ability, what are you going to write in the first place?
If you can't decide that, you won't be able to write a novel.
I want to write a novel, but I just can't!
If you're one of those people, like me, it might be a good idea to first think about what you want to write.
Actually, this discussion is similar to the skills needed to obtain a patent.
■ (2) What skills are needed to obtain a patent?
The skills needed to obtain a patent are similar to the discussion about novels above.
① The ability to invent, and ② the ability to put the details of your invention into words.
If you're looking to obtain a patent, focus your energy on ①!
Then leave the writing to us, our patent attorneys.
The important thing here is that ②, the writing ability, is different from that of a novel.
Patent writing is unique.
Also, you should discuss the details of your invention with a patent attorney.
Conduct thorough patent research and make sure your invention is patentable.
■ (3) What skills can and can't AI compensate for?
Here's a bonus discussion about AI.
That's a rough summary.
✓ Novels = Plotting Skills & Writing Skills
✓ Patents = Inventive Skills & Writing Skills
Which of these skills can be compensated for with AI?
There are authors who have used AI to write novels.
It may be possible to compensate for novel-writing skills to a certain extent.
However, other skills are difficult for AI to achieve.
Plotting skills and inventive skills are obviously beyond the capabilities of AI.
AI is not suited to creative tasks.
Unfortunately, the writing skills required for patents are also beyond the capabilities of AI.
We've discussed this point in other articles on this blog.
(One reason is that inputting the details of an invention into AI could result in it losing its novelty.)
