「国産AI」はなぜ必要？のたった一つの答え【フィジカルAI】
そんなニュース記事を見ました。いわゆるエンタメ記事と思われます。
このニュース記事を題材にしてエンタメ記事を書いてみます（笑）
著作権など知的財産権の専門家である弁理士の私見です。
■「国産AI」はなぜ必要？のたった一つの答え
国産AIが必要なたった一つの答えは「経済を回すため」！
上記ニュース記事のなぜ必要？の答えは「安全保障」だそうです。
上記ニュース記事のポイントは、
①海外AIに依存して、いざ使えなくなると機能不全になる
②機密情報を海外サーバーに送るのはリスク
③画期的な技術の恩恵と、安全保障から、国産AIが必要
③で画期的な技術と言っていますが、本当に画期的なの？
そんな声はここ数年ずっとありますね。
それに加え①や②のリスクがあるのです。
著作権侵害や犯罪利用のリスクもあります(意図的に言及していない？)
そもそもそんなAI（生成AI）を使う必要はあるのか？
そう考えると、国産AIが必要だとすれば、経済を回すためでしょう。
経済を回すのが悪いと言っているわけではありません。
その点に触れていないのがなんとも微妙に感じます。
（近年のニュースは経済を回すためならなんでもアリが暗黙の了解？）
■国産AIもいいが、著作権侵害しないAIを！
仮にAIが画期的な技術だとしましょう。
それでも、違法なものであってはいけませんね。
例えば400km出せる車は画期的だとしても、交通ルールは守らねば！
私たち弁理士としては、著作権侵害しないAIであるべきと考えます。
AIなど科学技術の発展と同様に、文化の発展(著作権保護)も重要です。
✓AI生成物が他者の著作物そのものでないこと（著作権侵害しない）
✓他者の著作物に類似するものを無限に生成しないこと（希釈化問題）
これらが可能なら、国産でなくてもいいとすら言えます。
いや、上記①、②などの問題があるから国産でないとダメか！（笑）
■「フィジカルAI」で経済を回してほしい
ニュース記事をはじめ世の中の情報は「AI」という言葉が曖昧です。
いわゆる「生成AI」は上記のようなデメリットが大きいでしょう。
ロボットや自動化のようなAIは、生成AIとは分けて考えるべきです。
無秩序に大量データを学習する必要があるかどうかで区別すべきです。
そんな中「フィジカルAI」という表現を見かけました。
生成AIと対立する概念で、ロボットや自動化などのことのようです。
同じ経済を回すなら、フィジカルAIのほうが画期的じゃないですか？

これも経済を回すためで、必ずしも悪いことではありません。

The one and only answer to the question: "To keep the economy going!"
The answer to the question: "Why is it necessary?" in the above news article is apparently "national security."
The key points of the above news article are:
① Relying on overseas AI will cause it to malfunction if it becomes unavailable.
② There are risks in sending confidential information to overseas servers.
③ Domestic AI is necessary for the benefits of groundbreaking technology and for national security reasons.
③ says it's groundbreaking technology, but is it really groundbreaking?
Such voices have been heard for the past few years.
In addition, there are risks in ① and ②.
There's also the risk of copyright infringement and criminal use (perhaps this was intentionally left unmentioned?)
Is there really any need to use such AI (generative AI) in the first place?
If we think about it that way, if domestically developed AI is necessary, it's to fuel the economy.
I'm not saying that fueling the economy is a bad thing.
The fact that this point isn't mentioned feels a bit odd.
(Is it the tacit understanding in recent news that anything goes if it keeps the economy going?)
■Domestically developed AI is fine, but we need AI that doesn't infringe copyright!
Let's say AI is groundbreaking technology.
Even so, it shouldn't be illegal.
For example, even if a car that can reach 400 km/h is groundbreaking, traffic rules must still be obeyed!
As patent attorneys, we believe that AI should not infringe copyright.
The development of culture (copyright protection) is just as important as the development of science and technology such as AI.
✓ AI products must not be the copyrighted works of others (no copyright infringement).
✓ AI products must not infinitely generate works similar to others' copyrighted works (dilution issue).
If these are possible, it could even be said that it doesn't need to be domestically produced.
No, it has to be domestically produced because of issues 1 and 2 above! (lol)
■ I want "physical AI" to drive the economy.
The term "AI" is often vague in news articles and other information.
So-called "generative AI" likely has significant disadvantages, as mentioned above.
AI like robots and automation should be considered separately from generative AI.
The distinction should be based on whether it needs to learn large amounts of data in an unregulated manner.
In the midst of all this, I came across the term "physical AI."
It seems to be a concept in opposition to generative AI, referring to robots and automation.
If we're talking about the same economy, wouldn't physical AI be more revolutionary?
