3 Ways of Thinking That Will Make You Want to Continue [End-of-Life Planning for Human Ability]
This article is about ways of thinking that will help you continue doing something.
I started voice training in September of last year.
It only took about 15 minutes a day, but it was incredibly effective, especially in overcoming my voice complexes!
Continuity can be achieved with just a little motivation.
I'll share three tips. I hope even one of them will inspire you to continue.
Table of Contents
(1) If you have talent, you'll succeed; if you don't, you can give up.
(2) Happiness comes from a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment, not short-term pleasure.
(3) End-of-Life Planning for Human Ability
■(1) If you have talent, you'll succeed; if you don't, you can give up.
No matter how talented you are, you won't succeed unless you continue to work hard.
On the other hand, if you continue to work hard and don't succeed, it's okay.
You can accept that you didn't have the talent.
I also continued voice training for two years.
I haven't achieved any success, like becoming a voice actor or developing a cool voice (lol).
However, I've completely overcome my voice complex.
I also enjoy singing. In a way, this is a great success!
■ (2) Be happy through fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment, rather than short-term pleasure.
First, think about whether there's anything you can continue doing.
Something that's slightly difficult and allows you to accumulate experience is good.
That's likely to be your talent.
The reason slightly difficult things are good is because they bring you happiness through fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment.
You can't continue doing something that's too difficult.
These days, there are a lot of short-term pleasures. A prime example is the smartphone.
It would be good to increase your happiness through fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment, rather than short-term pleasure.
■ (3) End-of-life planning for human abilities
Human abilities deteriorate if not used.
Conversely, if used consistently, they last longer and grow.
For example, your legs, back, eyes, ears, voice, and brain.
It's also possible to simply give up certain abilities (preparing for the end of your life).
For example, I prepared for the end of my ability to run at full speed (lol).
On the other hand, I want to keep my voice and singing active for the rest of my life. I also continue to take walks to maintain my legs.
I've been writing a blog every day for over 10 years to improve my writing and thinking skills.
Is it really okay to prepare for the end of your abilities?
If you think about it that way, doesn't it make it easier to continue doing something?
